Acne Free Can Come Only with Diet Changes

While a person affected by acne is searching the stores for another miracle cream or lotion or goes to see their dermatologist in frustration, there are many others who will say that the way to be acne free is by changing their diet. This goes above and beyond the use of natural supplements. It is their belief that simply improving their diet by adding some things and taking away others will affect the way their skin looks.

These proponents of diet change will say that if you want to be acne free, cut out foods that have trans-fatty acids. This would include all sorts of milk products, any fried foods and any synthetic vegetable oils. So instead it is recommended to eat grains, fruits and vegetables.  Many people believe that the growing problem of acne is reflected in the increase of fried foods that are eaten by the average American.

This is further proven to the researchers by comparisons that have been done with other people of other countries. One way that they prove this opinion is by showing the nearly acne free populations of Italy, Korea and Japan where the people use fish, peanut and vegetable oils in contrast to the bad fats eaten by Americans. When people from Italy, Korea or Japan come to live in America, and they or their children change their eating habits to be more like what is eaten in their adopted country, they too will develop acne.

Many researchers believe that you cannot be acne free until dietary changes are made. They feel that no matter what kind of medication you try on the acne, you are not going to see the results you should because the damage to the skin is being done daily by the foods that are ingested.Studies have shown that those who consume a lof of soda products are more likely to get acne. This is further proven by the fact that those who drink sodas are mostly likely to be teenagers who are coincidently the ones who suffer most with acne.
