Exfoliation
The top layer of skin can be wiped out either
chemically or by using abrasion. Chemical peels are usually
done applying salicylic acid or glycolic acid. These work by
eradicating a microscopic layer of skin cells to unclog pores
and get rid of the buildup of dead cells. The same outcome can
be attained by applying an abrasive cloth or liquid scrub.
Glycolic acid treatments can be given every 2 to 4 weeks over a
period of about six months. Even so, salicylic acid treatments
are less iritating and are often utilized in over-the-counter
drugs. They can be used every day.

acne. Laser therapy can be utilized for both surface level
scarring and also deep tissue scarring associated with extreme
acne conditions. Research is presently being administered on
the use of lasers for acne treatment. Many approaches are being
analyzed - burning away the follical sac which creates the
hair; burning away the gland which brings about sebum; and
making oxygen in the bacteria to obliterate them. It is not yet
known if laser acne coarse of action can cause deep damage to
the skin.
Drainage
severe acne can occasionally result in cysts to form under
the skin. These cysts can be painful and disfiguring. Smaller
cysts can be cared for by using cortisone injections which
level the lesion in 1 to 2 days. Larger cysts should be drained
and surgically eliminated. Drainage can cut the pain associated
through cysts and also reduce the chance of scarring. It is
done in the dermatologists office applying sterile instruments.
It is paramount that you do not to try to drain cysts by
yourself because of the risk of infection which could cause
permanent scarring.
